Meteorological Instrumentation Laboratory
Designation:
The laboratory is capable of conducting observations and measurements of major meteorological elements, including air temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind speed and direction, precipitation, and solar radiation.
It supports the inspection and comparison of automatic and mechanical meteorological instruments, as well as data calculation, visualization, and preparation of graphs, tables, and technical reports..
Capacity of the laboratory: Make various measurements of engineering buildings and topographic mapping based on their results.
Research direction:
- Conduct measurement and research using mechanical meteorological instruments and process the obtained data
- Test new meteorological measurement technologies, automatic weather stations, and sensor systems, and introduce modern advanced technologies into practice
- Perform high-accuracy measurements within short timeframes and process observational data using specialized software
- Evaluate instrument errors and conduct inspections to assess measurement quality and reliability
- Carry out climate analysis and assessment based on meteorological observation data
